Error when trying to set up mining on Monero Ocean
His xmrig version is not from 2017. It just means that this project was compiled with visual Studio 2017 Edition. His xmrig is actually up to date (see https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig-amd/releases )

Why am I not receiving any Monero from either transactions or mining?
On both, I used the mining program https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/ to try and mine Monero to my address, using various different mining pools and configurations, but that never did work either.

XMRiG closes on its own after 10min - 1Hs of processing ... I can't find a solution.
As for the link to xmr-stak-rx it's in the distro of HiveOS. Or https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/releases/tag/1.0.5-rx That will get you the plug and play win10 version if that's how you want to go, but you'll have to figure out how to disable Windows antivirus and deal with it complaining that you don't have antivirus enabled, yada yada hyou know the drill...
