wyrd VS gcalcli

remind: an incredibly powerful CLI calendar (full disclosure, it's what I use ) and has features & functionality I've never seen in any other calendar (expression evaluation basically gives you a full-fledged programming language for determining events and moving them around when bumped by holidays/weekends, etc). There's a GUI interface and a TUI interface as well, but I just stick to the CLI interface which defaults to the agenda view for the day(s) specified, but you can do N weeks or N months too, as well as emit the next occurrence of every event (-n).

While I don't know if it will make a difference, there was noise on the remind mailing list within the past week of a new release (1.5.0) of wyrd. I'm not sure it will resolve your issues, but if you have narrow-terminal (how narrow? < 80 chars?) issues, you might report it there.

gcalcli

I use Thunderbird, but also gcalcli (https://github.com/insanum/gcalcli) for quickly viewing daily agendas and adding events in the terminal. It has a nice “quick add” function that lets you add event using a natural language interface — you can type something like “Lunch with Amy next Wednesday at 2 PM at Trevino’s” and it will parse out the event name, time, and location. Google Calendar used to have something like this but removed it in a UI update.

gcalcli: really just a CLI interface to Google Calendar, so bringing it to mobile would basically involve re-inventing Google Calendar.

I had to compile gcalcli, which eventually got merged in the repos. I also compiled Vorta and Grace.

It is absolutely possible. So I have an app which uses the gcalcli tool on Ubuntu. It integrates with my personal google calendar by using my own personal google cloud project with the calendar api enabled, and I provide it a desktop oauth token and secret. I run it as a testing project. Until now, it’s been working fine, but from today, I keep getting an error message on the oauth screen saying that it’s trying to access my sensitive data and it’s been blocked. As much as I’m confident I haven’t changed anything, I could well have.

gcalcli: terminal interface for Google Calendar.

Yeah; it is 500. But it works for me with the `gcalcli`[1] — a Python command-line tool that uses GCal API. (I'm assuming it's not serving me stale data.)
