How would you write a novel in Word/Pages?
There are some people trying to recreate the Wordstar experience, like this one, and they supposedly were great and simple for writing long-form content (it was before my time, so I have no experience with it).

Lightweight Word Processor
WordGrinder. It's great for distraction-free writing, and can output Markdown or troff. It's a great tool for getting words down, but its otherwise pretty limited (which I think is one of its strengths). When I need to print or generate a PDF, I have a little script.

Is there a way to have a full TUI desktop environment?
For word processing there's WordGrinder, which is in the repos for many distros (in Fedora: dnf install wordgrinder). Things like LaTeX and Groff are for typesetting, which I don't view as the same as word processing. WordGrinder is more like the classical DOS word processors (e.g. WordPerfect 5.1).

What are some linux utilities/tools/apps you would want to have, that don't exist and think would be really useful.
Some other choices: * https://cowlark.com/wordgrinder * https://github.com/spartrekus/g-editor (WS compatible)

Building the fastest Lua interpreter.. automatically!
I have a word processor I wrote (https://cowlark.com/wordgrinder) which is mostly written in Lua, with hardware-specific stuff in C, and while this works extremely well, I'd very much like something with stronger typing. There's a possibility I'd be able to just drop in Luau and get it, plus some performance benefits. I'd need to reimplement parts of the standard library due to Luau having dropped things like the io library but that's no great hardship. I like the syntax, too, which is expressive and very lightweight.

Wife asked if we could get rid of this old coffee mug.

The 2023 krakens on Linux
I intend to purchase an AIO for a system that will also run Linux in dual boot. As CAM is not available for Linux, i have been looking at 3rd party options such as https://github.com/liquidctl/liquidctl for controlling the AIO on Linux systems. Support for the 2023 models is still a work in progress however. I'm not sure what will happen to my AIO if I run linux without CAM or other software configured.

Monitoring the temperature of the 4090 connector before it melts
Most motherboards have a header to connect a 10k probe like that. I currently connected the 10k into my Corsair iCUE Commander (there is a temp probe connector). In Linux I use this project to read the temps and fan speeds: https://github.com/liquidctl/liquidctl

Running this beast as my Linux workstation, needed to code most of the driver myself but i still love it!
I did both, implementing the RGB Controller driver standalone and inside of liquidctl. The pull-request for liquidctl is in principle ready but i did not have time to test all of the more complex functionality. You can find the current state here https://github.com/maxawake/liquidctl/tree/nzxt-rgb-controller The NZXT Kraken Elite 360 driver to control the water cooling pump and the LCD display has been added by brokenmass in this pull request https://github.com/liquidctl/liquidctl/pull/605 My corsair vengeance DDR5 Ram is connected via i2c and my case fans are on a ARGB header of my asus motherboard which i can both control via the newest gitlab version of openRGB. Hope this helps! If you need help getting it running just ask

Goodbye Windows, hello Water Cooled Linux Gaming (First Build)
Also, very very useful on both windows and linux: liquidctl. Even if the kernel doesn't have support, this can control it (speaking about the commander pro, but applies to everything else on the README list as well).

Next Step In Linux Transition || Drivers / Controllers for Fans, Pumps, and other Peripherals?
For the Corsair AIO control, you want Liquidctl. It doesn't have all the options like iCUE but it works fine.
