RSS2EMail VS btop

hrm, not sure I've tried to go the other way. I use rss2email to bring most of my RSS feeds into my inbox where I have all the power of mutt or mail(1) to mow through my feeds. I've never wanted to go the other direction.

as a twist on this, I like rss2email which drops my RSS feeds in my inbox, letting me use my existing MUA (no new keyboard commands to learn, syncs read-/deleted-state across machine via IMAP, works with multiple clients, etc).

However, I found it wanting, so I returned back to my previous habits of using old-Reddit for a few sub-reddits with which I regularly interact, and use my RSS reader, (rss2email ) for the sub-reddits that I read without interacting much. You can tack .rss at the end of any subreddit URL to obtain the RSS feed for it. And I find that much more pleasant (having all the power of mutt for mowing through posts of mild interest)

Alternatively, for myself, I use rss2email to pull my RSS feeds into my inbox, reducing the syncing problem to one that IMAP has already solved for me (and no new UI to learn, just the same mutt/claws interface I use for my email).

You can get most of the info also on btop (https://github.com/aristocratos/btop), just without the ANE and annotating the cores.

Great work, it looks amazing! But what's the point of going through all the pain of rendering graphs in text? At that point, give me an actual graph. The code will be less messy and the information display will be better.

Btop is even more advanced than htop. It is almost like a GUI in terminal, and it feels like a dashboard of an airplane. I like it, but when I want to see what processes are using most of my resources, it is usually htop that comes to my mind and not btop, since btop shows more by default than I usually want. Htop is good, but these days I prefer using Btop.

I love this and will definitely try it out! Although I admit I'm a little puzzled when people simultaneously want to do a TUI but also design things so there is generous (excessive, actually) whitespace around everything to create the illusion of "minimalism" or "comfort".

It's a TUI! It should be buzzing with numbers, packed with information, sparing with space and using every pixel possible. btop[1] is a great example imo — one of the best.

I am using Arco Linux (Arch Based) and today my machine was working as normal, but then I lost Wifi connection. I had btop opened in another monitor and when o lost connection, it crashed. Don't know what it means. This has happened before, but before I would just restart and everything would work fine again, but now, the OS doesn't show me anything Wifi related. When it happens,restarting shows are logs that normaly don't appear (can't show them here because they are now showing up anymore) and it takes a long time to restart, if it even restarts, sometimes I have to press down the power button (it's that bad). My mother is TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI, the Wifi adapter is the one that comes with the motherboard. I am on the Linux kernel 6.4.2 (I think), I updated the system this morning. On Windows (where I am writing this from), I don't have this problem.
