Is it bad to "unplug" base station ?
I use the lighthouse keeper executable from MixedVR Manager with a bat script for starting them:

MixedVR Manager first-time setup issues (and just general SteamVR headaches)
I'm curious what you mean by MixedVR Manager is broken. After reading a lot of github it is sounding like the SteamVR room setup loop may be a bug / problem with OVR Advanced Settings...
- Is there any way to set up the Reverb G2 without doing it through Microsoft Mixed Reality?

Can't start OVR Toolkit because room need calibration
And also setup GitHub - monstermac77/vr: This is a comprehensive guide to my VR setup, including descriptions of some VR concepts and phenomena.

Does choice of monitor ever affect G2?
I basically borrowed it from MixedVr Manager With ChangeScreenREsolution.exe

Poll: Who puts on their Reverb/Reverb G2 and it just works?
If you follow the setup guide to the letter - including the use of SteamVR chaperone instead of WMR bounds, you should have no issues. I manually turn power on to base stations and the HMD itself each time I play. HMD is plugged into USB-C/dport on RTX2080, no extension. Also, I do not use MixedVR Manager but do autorun a script closing Room Setup (at SteamVR launch).
-
MixedVR manager, can someone explain how to use original G2 controllers?
I am at work at the moment so can’t get you a full step-by-step, but reading the release notes should hopefully help you for now: iirc you just need to run the uninstall script and it should make everything WMR side work as default.
-
Lighthouse 2.0 controller software?
Mixed VR manager has some software that lets your computer control the base-stations. IMO, the script was too restrictive for me, but it's easy to edit.
-
Is good lighting necessary for the G2 with vive 2.0 controller tracking?
I'd recommend looking at the "Tracking" section of my vr repo: https://github.com/monstermac77/vr/#tracking, especially the last paragraph.

Having difficulties setting up Index controllers and tundra trackers!
regardless I downloaded OVR and space calibrator and followed the guide, a video, as well as checked the FAQ's and I am still unable to get this working.
-
Reverb G2 + Knuckles Controllers new setup?
My guide is constantly updated. Sometimes takes me a bit to update things (for example right now forcing the steamvr chaperone works a bit different and I’m currently working out the best way to have it work well again) but it will likely always bit more up to date than any videos… Which most of them out there skip some important steps and add others that are unnecessary.

FBT Help
You don’t need Bluetooth. The base stations don’t connect to the PC. Read the instructions: everything is there!
-
Bluetooth Unavailable
Ignore Bluetooth unavailable. That’s just looking for the Bluetooth in a vive or index. You don’t use Bluetooth with this setup at all, unless you install lighthouse keeper or something and that’s just for turning the lighthouses on and off. Follow the instructions which are the same whether you’re using knuckles controllers or just trackers :)
-
Controller locations reset every time I launch up VR
Generally, when persons are struggling with issues such as yours, I'll suggest they follow Pumpkin's guide to the letter - don't skip a single step and be sure to use SteamVR chaperone instead of WMR.
-
please help.
Refer to step 4 here. And a simple youtube video.

pico 4 vr desktop with vive controllers
It can be found here (it’s also in the sticky guide in this sun though there are a few outdated things in there now. I really need to make a new one)

I want to upgrade from my Oculus CV1, but can't exactly break the bank.
Here is a set up guide: https://github.com/PumkinSpice/MixedVR/wiki/MixedVR-CV1-Touch Note that the guide says you need to keep the CV1 headset moving to make it stay awake, but there is now a software tool that can keep it awake without movement: https://github.com/DeltaNeverUsed/ODTKRA
-
HP Reverb G2 with possibly either the Oculus S or Q2 controllers?
Cheapest thing to do is find a full CV1 kit! At least two cameras, 3-4 is better. https://github.com/PumkinSpice/MixedVR/wiki/MixedVR-CV1-Touch — this is a guide I wrote on it though it’s a little outdated (You can use an outside program to not have to keep the cv1 HMD moving as I understand it)
-
Can a pair of controllers be used with a non matching headset in steam vr, I really like the tracking quality of the rift controllers but I was looking to upgrade to a new headset
If you are talking about the Rift CV1 then yes it is possible, here is a guide: https://github.com/PumkinSpice/MixedVR/wiki/MixedVR-CV1-Touch Note that the guide says you need something to keep the CV1 headset moving to keep it awake, but there is now a software tool that can keep it awake without novement:
