Room correction using REW and Roon's convolution filters... before and after with a simple reading from the UMIK-1, application of EQ filters and export/import into Roon. Love what it did in software without the need to purchase a MiniDSP like I have in my main home theater.
The Brutefir3 plugin documentation is a good basic guide... at least I hope it is now that I helped the guy re-write large parts of it :) Plugin: https://github.com/balbuze/volumio-plugins/tree/master/plugins/audio_interface/brutefir3 Docs: https://volumio.github.io/docs/Plugins_User_Manuals/brutefir/Drc_with_Volumio.html

If you're familiar with Plover, the Stenogotchi might be something you could look at as well, if the devices you're working with support bluetooth.

Can a Raspberry Pi easily emulate a bluetooth keyboard to control another device?
Yes. Check out https://github.com/Anodynous/stenogotchi

I'm in the same boat, that's why I started working on the Stenogotchi.

Check out stenogotchi [1] if you haven't already. Plover running on a battery-powered Rasperi Pi Zero.

making a bluetooth steno keyboard? Run plover on a raspberry pi and then send the text output over bluetooth?
Definitely. The raspberry pi zero w is particularly well suited for this due to its small size and built-in bluetooth. You can take a look at my hobby project with this same goal in mind, the Stenogotchi, for inspiration.
