Interested in installing Gentoo
For example, for some Go programs you just have sed the go.mod and fill the name and version: https://github.com/viperML/viperML-overlay/blob/master/app-misc/pixterm/pixterm-1.3.1.ebuild

A Leap
For me, it's about using portage. Keeping my own package repo is more convenient than in other distros, and Ebuilds can be really easy to write.

How is Aarm64 support? I was considering building my own setup based on gentoo in a vm on my m1 MacBook air.
BTW: There is currently a bug, that was introduced by a recent change in user.eclass introduced recently. There is some back and forth with Gentoo devs and the developer of Kubler. It's fixed if you use the live Ebuild. This is a general issue that might break anything installed with ROOT variable being set while using Portage. So it might also affect you, if you create the images on your own.
What are some alternatives?

portage-overlay - Extra ebuilds for Gentoo systems, mostly packages fixed to work with musl
torpar - TUI Client for Torrent Paradise
cutefishos-overlay - CutefishOS is a Linux Desktop Environment, I would like port to Gentoo Linux
SkiffOS - Any Linux distribution, anywhere.

portage - My Gentoo portage overlay, with mainline fixes and custom ebuilds.
