I'm curious, what was the reason Fabric mod loader was made in the first place?
this is kind of a silly point, but the quilt community is just nicer to be around than any of the other ones in my experience, which has real effects: e.g., you attract people really really good at decompiler tech and create quiltflower which is a decompiler so good Java professionals use it. inclusivity matters! the cutting edge happens on quilt

Question regarding a mod's safety?
The only way is to reverse-engineer it. Use something like quiltflower or javap if you want to be extra sure, and have a look through the Java code

Can AI Deobfuscate Minecraft?
Firstly, we have to decompile the JAR, turning the bytecode back into Java. This is a very difficult job: a lot of work has been put into the tools to make this happen.

is there a extention that adds support for .class files? please let me know
Alternatively, there's this new project that I haven't tried yet: https://github.com/QuiltMC/quiltflower

The Code the FBI Used to Wiretap the World
The decompiler they used to view that code is not very good, that output is garbled.
If you're going to take apart JVM bytecode, you're better off using Recafe or Quiltflower.

Java Decompiler Gui
They are community contributed (through using decompilers to see what the classes do) and decompiler toolchains have ways of instrumenting classes with javadoc. They are also incomplete, you really can't write a mod using only a javadocs page

Can AI Deobfuscate Minecraft?
Yarn, still going with its cleanroom meant to protect against a mappings set that no longer exists.

Mojang added telemetry back to Minecraft in version 21w38a, and no you can't opt-out.
I doubt that, especially considering Mojang started releasing obfuscation maps for Java Edition AFTER the introduction of datapacks. Furthermore, even before Mojang started releasing obfuscation maps there have been resources to deobfuscate the game, some dating back to the alpha days. In addition, many modders have opted to continue to use community deobfuscators to mod the game as a result of the terms of use attached to the Mojang mappings, and as such they are still under active development, yarn being the most popular (to my knowledge) community mapping project. None of these community mappings are in violation of copyright law to my knowledge, and I know for a fact yarn in particular isn't.

Looking for a Minecraft Reverse Engineering Community
Yup, they also still have: https://github.com/FabricMC/yarn, which is pretty nice but still rather restrictive as far as reversing more of the intersting code goes. This is understandable due to the nature of reversing a closed source software. Indeed I hope a group emerges that is strictly doing it for educational purposes or to find vulns and report them :).
