Interesting article, thanks for posting. I will mention that https://github.com/JMcKiern/vim-venter is nice because unlike zen-mode and similar plugins, it will center more than one buffer, so if you have two files you are working on (code and test file, etc).

I cannot recall if the default markdown plugin conceals or not. If it doesn't, try mkdx

At a loss with conceal
I'm using mkdx as my markdown plugin, but it is my understanding, that putting my custom syntax file in ~/.config/nvim/after/ results in it being sourced last(after).
