    I currently use this layout (this is ZMK, but if you are familiar with QMK, you should get the general idea, just note that sections inside /* … */ are commented out, i.e., disabled). The main difference is that the Number/Symbol layer now has a number pad on the left and a symbol pad on the right with brackets in the middle.

    It is actually ZMK (because I’m using a nice!nano for the MCU), but I think the keymap configuration should be understandable enough to a QMK user.
