Dawn of the GPU mineable POW coins.
Vertcoin is a Litecoin fork that follows bitcoin core development. The dev team is hardcore about ASIC resistance and they have hard forked (3 or 4 times, i think) to kick them off the network. Vertcoin is trying to stay true to your reddit namesakes vision of a fully decentralized network that is accessible to all. 1 GPU, 1 vote. vertcoin.org and the vertcoin discord can do a much better job at explaining it than I ever could. Looking for this. html + css rendering through wgpu.
If you were to implement this yourself, i'd look into either swash or cosmic-text for the text rendering stack (this is one of the things you really don't want to write from the ground up). For accessibility, AccessKit has quickly become the standard for communicating with crossplatform accessibility APIs in rust GUI. lightningcss (or its lower level counterpart cssparser) are both decent options for CSS parsing. Taffy handles some of what browsers offer for a layout engine, but is still being worked on.
