unsilence VS videospeed

Not sure how well it removes "ehm"s, but I use unsilence[1] a lot for lectures. It removes the silent bits from a video file. It isn't a browser plugin however. You have to download the lecture before converting.

It works quite well in my experience.

However, I have found a partial solution. Using the "video speed controller"(link) extension you can instead speed up ads so they last only a few seconds.

For those who didn't knew about this, but you can use an extension like Video Speed Controller to seek through playing ads with a button press.

Video Speed Controller - This one has been a must for me. It changes the speed of a video using keyboard shortcuts. I have it set to increase the speed by 1x each time I push the "d" key, and decrease it by 1x when I push the "s" key. I also have it set to go to 4x speed when I push the "g" key. In addition, the extension contains additional functionality that lets you skip around in a video, I have it set to a minute, using shortcut keys. This is a great addition I use sometimes to YouTube's default 5 and 10 second skip times.
