chromium vs google chrome for Linux(Opensuse Tumbleweed)?
The Widevine library needs to be present as part of the install of your browser that is able to interpret this encrypted video. Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Safari, Edge etc all ship with Widevine pre-installed. But, Chromium builds are not allowed to distribute the Widevine library because of licensing. So, to get around this, we install Chromium and move over the Widevine library from Chrome to Chromium in order to be able to stream these DRM-protected media services.
