New release: v0.4.0
And don’t forget, we now have our very own Jellyfin integration, now also as a docker image, thanks jonasrosland for taking the initiative there. This allows you to sync metadata from TA to JF: https://github.com/tubearchivist/tubearchivist-jf. Plex integration is in the works by your favorite helping hand, lamusmaser, so stay tuned for that.

YYYYMMDD date format and Jellyfin
There is a jellyfin integration being tested which might help since it explicitly syncs metadata including date published, but it is apparently still being tested.
-
YouTube channel auto download and filters
Cronjob for https://github.com/tubearchivist/jellyfin - you will likely want to edit some parameters, but it is super simple. I'll provide my patch below.
-
New Release v0.3.5 is out
Upon popular request, I caved and created a proof of concept Jellyfin integration, if you want to give this a try: https://github.com/tubearchivist/jellyfin. Reach out if you are interested in using that, this will need a maintainer like you to further extend it.

Any way to filter music videos?
For the Emby integration, I assume you saw the FAQ, that's not what this project is about. But nonetheless there is a proof of concept with a little python script for Jellyfin, should be compatible with Emby, if you want to help test this: https://github.com/tubearchivist/jellyfin.

Self hosted YouTube media server – Tube Archivist
As a less sophisticated alternative there's a metadata plugin for jellyfin https://github.com/ankenyr/jellyfin-youtube-metadata-plugin
-
YouTube channel auto download and filters
You probably want Tube Archivist. The only problem is that it’s naming convention doesn’t work with the Jellyfin YouTube Metadata Plugin.
-
Jellyfin not using the mp4 thumbnail of videos as the primary picture.
For future videos you download with yt-dlp you can try using the Jellyfin YouTube Metadata Plugin. Jellyfin grabs the exact images and descriptions from YouTube.
-
Disable / Uninstall a plugin from Jellyfin server
As for the plugin I’ve gotten it to work in Docker but could never get it to work for Jellyfin MacOS because it wouldn’t recognize my already installed yt-dlp. Did you try the yt-dlp install command on the plugin’s GitHub page?

Does anyone know of a Jellyfin plugin for YouTube video metadata management similar to this one for Plex?
Aha! I found this. https://github.com/ankenyr/jellyfin-youtube-metadata-plugin

I'm making a thing...
It has always saddened me that Jellyfin can't get metadata for YouTube videos... I mean I'm aware of ankenyr's plugin, but I've never managed to make it work :/
-
How to use Tartube to ONLY download new videos with no others downloaded?
For some reason I am unable to get them to work together (I’m using the file output as “%(id)s”) which to my understanding should work with the Metadata scraper as seen here but when I sync the content on my server it just uses the title of the folder (the YouTubers name) and doesn’t populate any metadata.

What type of library do you use for YouTube videos?
Theres an open issue on the Youtube Metadata plugin to try and get it to support TubeArchivists naming scheme (which will never change), but there has been no progress on it: https://github.com/ankenyr/jellyfin-youtube-metadata-plugin/issues/40
