The "purple screen" now appears for 30s every 10 minutes, up from 15s every 15 minutes.
if you use TTV AdEraser, it actually loads the stream you are watching multiple times, and then if the purple screen pops up it replaces the player with one of the duplicates. so essentially you never see the purple screen.

Ttv Aderaser New Twitchtv Ad Blocker That Also
The other issue that you described with some prerolls/ purple screens coming through is an issue that I have addressed in my last changelog (https://github.com/LeonHeidelbach/ttv_adEraser#changelog). The thing is that when you go to a stream and an ad happens to run at the beginning while also the purple screen is shown, you might see either one for a couple of seconds. This happens due to the fact that the current method of getting rid of the purple screen/ads basically just switches the original player and the embedded one back and forth as soon as the purple screen is visible/disappears. This however, should only happen occasionally. Unfortunately as of now there is no better way of getting rid of ads/purple screens since twitch basically killed the embedded player with their annoying message :(

How do I prevent Twitch's Purple Screen of Death?

In general I update the extension very frequently, e.g. if people find issues or have new feature requests. Keep in mind though that I am currently working on this project on my own in my spare time. As soon as there is a better way of getting rid of ads/purple screens I'll be sure to update my extension. Check out my GitHub to post issues and get the most up to date version of the extension from the dev_build branch. As of now the dev_build branch version is the same as the Chrome Web Store version.

Amazon Prime Video Will Start Showing Ads on January 29
There are tampermonkey script(s) and ublock filter scripts that swap out the advert video with the live broadcast video (but in low res) - i have lived with that for now, esp. since i watch esports on twitch, and it sucks that i would have missed key moments of a game when an ad plays during it!
There's several ones listed here : https://github.com/pixeltris/TwitchAdSolutions
I use the scripts (https://github.com/pixeltris/TwitchAdSolutions#scripts) instead of the proxy solution, as i dont want to rely on a third party server to be working.

Twitch is not enjoybale anymore due to ads
I run ads before the broadcast starts on a 5 minute "starting soon" stream" and encourage viewers to block ads with an !ads command. Look here: https://github.com/pixeltris/TwitchAdSolutions

Does uBlock Origin (uBO) currently bypass YouTube's adblock detection?
Actually the modern vaft script can completely bypass ads and has seen minimal changes for well over a year. Twitch gave up because most people, even the tech savvy ones, don't know about the solutions anymore.
