Right now the cuda accelerated whls are hosted outside of pypi which can only be accessed by using `--extra-index-url`, when installing from a requirements file (pip install -r requirements.txt). However pip install doesn't allow --extra-index-url for security reasons, which means deploying cuda accelerated ML apps on python is a complicated affair, see this [script](https://github.com/zackees/transcribe-anything/blob/main/install_cuda.py) as an example of what needs to be done to uninstall conflicting cpu only version of pytorch and replace it with cuda acceleration.

If you really want to build a native, macOS app (SwiftUI or otherwise), just take a look at youtube-dl. IINA, one of popular macOS video player out there, is using youtube-dl to directly stream Youtube video.

WiiMC also supports FTP and Samba so you can just download them on your PC and use an FTP server. I've been using https://github.com/giampaolo/pyftpdlib . For downloading YouTube use https://github.com/ytdl-org/youtube-dl of course .

If you want to download them, you can use the tool yt-dlp (an improved version of youtube-dl) to download the files from roosterteeth’s website. Despite the name, it’s a versatile tool that works for most public video hosting sites.

There are also hybrids which are a mix of both. For example, youtube-dl can be used as a command line program, but it's also designed to be convenient to use inside other python programs to make use of its functionalities.
