configuration VS watchstate

use this site to config trakt for plex

I then went to http://trakt-for-plex.github.io/configuration and connected my account. Last night this FINALLY worked and I was able to connect my Plex & Trakt acocunts... but alas, nothing actually happened.

There is also an addon for plex that gives you more control, plex trakt scrobbler. Sadly plex has mostly done away with addons (I think that is why the addon is mostly unmaintained) so I use kitana to manage addons. trakt-for-plex may also be useful.

Been trying traket plugin and https://trakt-for-plex.github.io/configuration/ this config, it worked a few years ago, but not anymore, don't know what to do anymore, already formatted the system n times...

Login to the Configuration web-app: http://trakt-for-plex.github.io/configuration , select your Plex Server and then go to Accounts. There you should find TWO tabs, the Trakt tab should have a green check mark while the Plex tab most likely won't.

Trakt can actually do this for multiple users (I have it set up for that). You just have to manually add the Trakt users at https://trakt-for-plex.github.io/configuration and map them to their respective Plex user.

If in doubt use my or anyone else tool to backup your playstate and restore if you somehow loses your playstate. for example: https://github.com/ArabCoders/watchstate

Watchstate keeps Jellyfin and Plex watch states synced perfectly for me. It doesn’t track “in progress” stuff, but it will update your completed/unlatched states without issue.

You can always use Trakt if you’re looking for something easy. Otherwise there are projects that sync history like: https://github.com/ArabCoders/watchstate

You could use https://github.com/ArabCoders/watchstate which uses your own servers data to sync your play state instead of relying on external source if your use case is to sync cross media servers.

hmm this might work combined with Watchstate to sync plex watched states with jellyfin.
