traefik-grafana-prometheus-docker VS crowdsec

Here's a config that I use to quickly spin up new things in my lab along with some basic monitoring through grafana (though I do need to update the included dashboard to something much more awesome) and some docs that should help you get started quickly if you're interested.

If you're interested, I've got a basic Docker setup for Traefik which can be useful for running a bunch of containers on http/https with a single entry point (i.e. node or swarm). The "downside" is that you also need to setup DNS or hosts entries as the routing is done via SNI.

This tool crowdsec.net is really interesting to mitigate and enact defense systems for different scenarios.

Like in the case of Debian, you can do anything you want with it, for free, period. You just need to embed this license when you redistribute the product.

Do I need something like crowdsec, or is WireGuard secure enough on its own?

Before falling too much in love with Fail2Ban try taking a look at https://crowdsec.net. Similar functionality but way more advanced (but easier to configure). New project that leverages the power of the crowd and shares information of attacks among users so they help each other out protecting themselves.
