Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Comparing Hobby PCB Vendors
There are other benefits: A PCB design can be shared so that others can fabricate it themselves. (Or modify it if they wish). A PCB design will likely have a schematic, too, which can be studied.
I'd also bet that PCB projects are more likely to inspire better PCB projects. -- Or at least, the domain I've tried my hand at has been PCBs for custom mechanical keyboards.
e.g. I've seen boards inspired by https://github.com/hsgw/plaid such as https://github.com/coseyfannitutti/discipline or https://github.com/rtitmuss/torn and I think there are several popular split keyboard designs which basically descend from https://github.com/MakotoKurauchi/helix

[IC/GB] Extra Torn Keyboard PCBs
I'm going to build the Torn ergo split keyboard but I don't need x5 PCBs, switch plates, and base plates. So I'm checking to see if others are interested in splitting the cost of the JLCPCB order. For clarity, I'm not looking to profit from this, just split the cost of the PCBs.

Any reccomendations for corne-like board with another key in thumb cluster? Also here is bongocat
https://github.com/rtitmuss/torn Seems to be all freely available including a build guide
- Have there been splits with an IC?

My Cantor build, designed by u/diepala
I would like to compare it to Torn

I just realized that my shoes match my keeb
For a true match, the keyboard should be a Torn

Here's my current family photo. A lil bit more mod then I'll be ENDGAME.
Also very much interested in this. I'm thinking about building a split keyboard myself and can't decide on which one to go for. I've considered so far: - redox: The layout looks thought through - sofle: Easy to build, because of the used microcontroller - torn: Is throughhole, huge plus for me since I could order pcb's and solder it myself, also looks good. the only thing I don't like about it, is that I need a number row and am not sure if I'll be able to add it to the schematic

portable split keyboard?
I also have an ergodox ez, and want a smaller keyboard for carrying it to the office and on travels. I'll go for Torn (https://github.com/rtitmuss/torn) eventually, it will be available on splitkb.com Regarding tenting, it does have a slot to screw in a tripod like https://splitkb.com/products/manfrotto-pocket-tripod

Elephant 42 first time build
Cheapest way would be ordering all electronics from aliexpress, and PCBs from jlcpcb. It's definitely not the easiest nor fastest way though. If you'd go with ordering yourself then I highly recommend this wiki https://github.com/joric/jorne/wiki
- recently got this broken T410 keyboard. None of the keys worked, but the trackpoint did! im wondering what my options are in terms of re-using the trackpoint assembly. How hard would it be to integrate it into a mechanical keyboard?

36 keys with single key outer columns
This is the closest I could find https://github.com/joric/jorne

BongoCat didn’t fit into my ProMicro, ended up making 32x32 BongoPikachu
Just follow the excellent guide here. It has BOM with aliexpress links, pcb gerbers that you can simply upload to PCB making website, files for top/bottom case plates
