Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Inbox fast processing
I like to use the (very excellent) Todoist Shortcuts extension on Todoist's web app to do most of that. The next task isn't automatically opened in detail view, but it will be next in the list so that I can start to perform the process against the next task in the list using the keyboard shortcuts which are available.

Reducing friction in navigating TODOIST
It isn't native (and generally requires you use the Web version instead of the Desktop version of Todoist), but Todoist Shortcuts is probably my favorite extension for Todoist.

Replicating a Things workflow in Todoist?
Another think you could do is just make a duplicate of the recurring task, change the due date to whenever you want to punt to, and then "complete" the original task so that it's off in the future. That way, you can move the duplicated (non-recurring task) to whenever you want and still have recurrence. I know it's janky, but this extension makes it really easy to duplicate a task—you just hit &.

Notion Api Incoming
Great question! It's mostly that I feel Todoist handles task management better than Notion—especially since I use a Chrome extension that lets me do all my task management with keyboard shortcuts, which is incredible.
