Kotlin/ Thingspeak Interfacing.
First of all, you need to ask yourself how familiar you are with MatLab. Then from a dev point of view, could you use an API to reference cloud data then apply analytics. Great intro to IoT. I can see that company going far in 5-10 and may invest based on trajectory. https://thingspeak.com

Help me check my circuit for my self-sustaining water meter
I'm not sure yet. Maybe something custom, but probably not. I was thinking about Thingspeak before.
- Do you know best websites for hosting Arduino Internet of Things (IoT), other than Cayenne from myDevices?

Displaying readings to website?
I haven't got around to MQTT yet, but as an easy interim solution I recommend ThingSpeak https://thingspeak.com/ as you can set up an account for free and getting an ESP to send data to it is trivial. Plus you can access it via the web, or embed their graphs and dials into a webpage. The graphics are a bit meh though.

I made a platform to connect cheap ESP32 microcontrollers over wifi with the cloud. Stream simple sensor data. No c coding necessary :) Would you use it?
So I migrated all my ESP32 sensors, over to Sparkfun's "Phant". Then they abruptly shut it down. I ran my own server for a while, but they also. killed development on the open source project.
What are some alternatives?
Thingsboard - Open-source IoT Platform - Device management, data collection, processing and visualization.
Reportr
Grafana - The open and composable observability and data visualization platform. Visualize metrics, logs, and traces from multiple sources like Prometheus, Loki, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, Postgres and many more.
Freeboard - A damn-sexy, open source real-time dashboard builder for IOT and other web mashups. A free open-source alternative to Geckoboard.
esp32-mqtt-publish-subscribe - This project shows how to use the ESP32 to interact with the MQTT protocol in the IoT environment. For more information, refer to the article https://bit.ly/3a3t7xq
DeviceHive - DeviceHive Java Server
Organizr - HTPC/Homelab Services Organizer - Written in PHP
ArduinoJson - 📟 JSON library for Arduino and embedded C++. Simple and efficient.
Habitica - A habit tracker app which treats your goals like a Role Playing Game.
