If you wanna start with something simple, switch to Fabulous graphics (comes after Fancy graphics in the video settings) and take packs like Fabulous HDR and bradleyq's Vanilla Shaders for a spin.

Is it possible for shaders to be in resource pack?
Short answer, yes. Long answer, still yes but not as impressive as optifine shaders. the only one I could find so far: https://github.com/bradleyq/1_16_shaders
