The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

fast_io + refterm v2 is 46548 times faster than stdio.h + cmd
Ah, fair enough! Happen to have a link to an example / docs? I can't really make heads or tails of the examples/docs and I don't really spend much time worrying about optimizing I/O in C++ to have enough context. I assume something to do with open_mode?

Why Windows isn't ready for Arm developers
About floating point benchmark it was actually faster than dragonbox. Dragonbox has added improvements based on the optimzation provided by fast_io. Do not what is the situation right now. https://github.com/tearosccebe/dtoa-benchmark
- fast_io outperforms Dragonbox source for 7% on floating-point formatting algorithms by avoiding C++ abstractions. There are no zero-cost abstractions.
- C++20 std::format is already std::regex 2.0 situation.
- C++20 std::format is 2x slower than std::fstream?
