- Choc spaced keycaps for MX switches?
-
Question for the small small keyboard crowd (<=36 keys): Do you prefer choc or MX?
If you’re willing to print your own keycaps, anything is possible. I have a MX switched keyboard with tighter than choc spacing. You can find it here (not my design): https://github.com/madebyperce/tapir36

Are there any keyboards that handle the natural angle of the pinky?
The Rufous keyboard is an especially good example of a naturally hand shaped board. Removing the inner index keys make the distance to reach the inner index keys much lower. And removing the bottom pinky, combined with a keymap which doesn't require the top pinky key to be used often, constrains the pinky to its home row position making the angle of the column less pertinent.

Family Photo!
jcmkk3 has a number of hummingbird inspired keyboards that are super nice, so I had to pick it up. I don't have a layout that I could commit to with the 30 key setup, but I know a few people that use 30 key setups every day during work.

QAZ looking cute
The smallest I could see myself using regularly would be a Hummingbird. I like that it’s split but wouldn’t really like to drop more alphas/ branch away from QWERTY too much.
