Surface Book 2 Not detaching & Graphics card not being utilized
I believe you need to install surface-dtx-daemon for detaching to work in linux.

Eventually gonna switch to Linux.
I’ve also found this (Surface DTX for Linux), but I‘m not sure if it works, as I haven’t gotten around to try it yet.
