How to reduce Docker image size for IoT devices
Let's use patchelf to reduce the Docker image size for Stubby — a name resolver that supports DNS-over-TLS. We will use Debian as the base image but the process is specific neither to this Linux distribution nor to this application.

Can I use PiHole with Google DNS/Cloudflare simultaneously?
U used Stubby for a while, that worked but I've since switched to Unbound.

What is better DNScrypt, DOH or DOT?
Overall, while DoT, DoH, and DNSCrypt are all far better than nothing in terms of privacy and security, I would say that DoH is probably the simplest and most effective choice for the average user, while DNSCrypt (or DoT with a flexible client like Stubby) are preferable for users who desire more robust configuration options, or have niche use cases. I tend toward DoH for devices that frequently travel with me, and DNSCrypt or DoT for devices that rarely leave my home.

How does google know where I am?
For encrypted DNS, I suggest you to install Stubby. It can be used along with a VPN. The Arch wiki is very good as well as the official website to explain how to install it. But the best tutorial is from LinuxBabe.

Quad9 move to Switzerland
You can also use any of three different encryption methods (DoT, DoH, or DNScrypt) to encrypt your query when you send it to us (look at Stubby as an example of how to do that).

Runs on your OpenWrt box: AdGuard Home is network-wide blocking ads and tracking
The main repo is GPLv3: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdGuardHome
They already have many other commercials products and I guess also the default filter rules are very good because of their experience in the domain.
But I think you can use it completely without the AdGuard servers and use other filter list sources.

AdguardHome can't resolve DoH upstream DNS? Why?
I'm using adguardhome v0.107.42 openwrt snapshot on linksys wrt1900ac v2, but when using DoH it won't resolve upstream DNS, but DoT is works perfectly OK, I've already set allow_unencrypted_doh to true in config .yaml file as per instruction here
