Tip for New Vegas modding: use this Proton build to install dotNet
BUT, there's is a solution. As was mentioned in this guide, using wine-6.17.r0.ga8583acae95 build of Proton will allow you to successfully install dotnet48 (which include dotnet) with protontricks (yes, you don't even need to use your system's winetricks). After that, you can switch to any recent proton version you like, everything will work fine.

SteamPlay/Proton version of community profiles as seen in the steam controller configs?
The idea with contributions didn't work, so I removed most of the functions and just left a basic tweak function, which optionally uses above tweaks outsourced into this tweak dump

Steam Deck
I haven't used it myself but steamtinkerlaunch is definitely your best bet. It lets you easily set up Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex directly on your Deck. The quite extensive wiki will provide more information than I possibly could.

Man New Vegas looks so good on here! Forgot how great this game was. Still can't believe I'm playing this on a handheld.
Tinker Launcher is the easiest way to do it. There is also a third party Linux "port" of MO2 you can install. Tinker Launcher is my preferred method. ProtonupQT is not where you get it from. https://github.com/frostworx/steamtinkerlaunch/wiki/Installation

Does vortex collection work on lutris?
Another app / set of scripts I have found is https://github.com/frostworx/steamtinkerlaunch.
- FSR appears to have no effect on Geometry Dash (Steam game).
- 1k ⭐
- Can't create mixed-case collections ("Vortex")

Set up steam tinker launch on my steam deck to run a nonsteam game with Wine 5.22. Can’t get it to download!
