Advice needed for wiring the apartment: Have to open up sections of the roof and walls to fix some HVAC and insulation issues, so want to build in cabled networking in at the same time
ISP provides regular old VDSL2, which I'm riding about 70Mbps in off-peak times, but gets as low as 5Mbps, so I basically don't use streaming services. All my media comes off discs into Plex, and I use Lancache-Prefill to download new games in the off-peak times before installing them on the actual gaming rig. G.Fast may possibly become available to me in the future, the ISP is apparently rolling it out in places but other than a since press release a year or so ago saying they were doing it, can't get any more information out of them other than "If you become able to use it, we'll let you know"

Game Downloads Target List
Since Firewalla has been creating and maintaining target lists I was wondering if they'd be interested in doing the same for game downloads. I had been using Lancache for a long time but my kids complained about slowness with certain CDNs when using it and I've decided to get rid of it. What I've been doing instead is using the LanCache scripts to generate the output of the CDN lists for dnsmasq and then filtering that and putting it into a target list. I use an SQM rule to set traffic to the target list as low priority. It isn't a lot of work, but, I have to remember to do it and it is tedious, so assuming this can be automated on the Firewalla side and just pushed out, that would be a huge plus. See - https://github.com/uklans/cache-domains/tree/master/scripts
