Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Ways to test SSL Certificates
For Internally and Externally accessible websites – Can use hostname or IP address Sslyze command line tool - https://github.com/nabla-c0d3/sslyze/releases - current version is 4.1.0

ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH
3) If you are technically skilled then there are programs/scripts you can run that will tell you exactly what TLS/SSL settings your router supports by scanning it. I have used https://github.com/nabla-c0d3/sslyze in the past but that was a long time ago so not sure it still works well

CryptoLyzer: A comprehensive cryptographic settings analyzer
There are many notable open-source projects (SSLyze, CipherScan, testssl.sh, tls-scan, …) and several SaaS solutions (CryptCheck, CypherCraft, Hardenize, ImmuniWeb, Mozilla Observatory, SSL Labs, …) to do a security setting analysis, especially when we are talking about TLS, which is the most common and popular cryptographic protocol. However, most of these tools heavily depend on one or more versions of one or more cryptographic protocol libraries, like GnuTLS, OpenSSL, or wolfSSL. But why is this such a problem?
- Create a tool to capture the TLS handshake and cipher suite being used

Python Networking: TCP and UDP
In the last installment we looked at IP headers. One thing you might have seen missing is the port numbers. That's pretty important for making an internet connection. Well it turns out that IP tends to encapsulate other protocols (which is why it has protocol as part of the header). In this article we'll be looking at two popular protocols for internet traffic: TCP and UDP. Before we begin though install scapy which we'll be using to make things easier, and dnslib that will be used during the UDP section:

🛜 What is ARP Spoofing?
I've coded my small ARP spoofer in Go because I love the language, though it can very well be coded in other languages, for example Python with Scapy.

Is it possible to send raw data over an IP network, not encapsulated in TCP or UDP?
Scapy: https://github.com/secdev/scapy
- packet-rs - A Scapy like rust packet interface
-
tshark live statistics (-z) display?
Tshark can't do that. The Wireshark app does update its Conversations window pretty frequently when doing a live capture, so that might be a reasonable alternative. Otherwise you could probably also cobble something together yourself with a tool like scapy or some other Python library, but that would clearly be more work.
- Is there a script/program to find similarities among multiple pcap files?
- Scapy - Packet Crafting
-
Extract data from a pcap file
I don't know if you can do it within the gui, I don't see anything but perhaps a bit of Python code would do it. There is a python library called Scapy that may have functions to help you along the way.
What are some alternatives?
sslscan - sslscan tests SSL/TLS enabled services to discover supported cipher suites
pyshark - Python wrapper for tshark, allowing python packet parsing using wireshark dissectors
RustScan - 🤖 The Modern Port Scanner 🤖
pySerial - Python serial port access library
aioquic - QUIC and HTTP/3 implementation in Python
impacket - Impacket is a collection of Python classes for working with network protocols. [Moved to: https://github.com/SecureAuthCorp/impacket]
tls-scan - An Internet scale, blazing fast SSL/TLS scanner ( non-blocking, event-driven )
keyboard - Hook and simulate global keyboard events on Windows and Linux.
simpleeval - Simple Safe Sandboxed Extensible Expression Evaluator for Python
engine - A reference implementation of the Russian GOST crypto algorithms for OpenSSL
elmocut - Eye candy ARP spoofer for Windows
