I'm scared of playing this game
Start by playing these two classes, sticking with your squad, aiding them with your perks, and learning the layers (squadlanes.com). That site will help you figure out where enemies might place their spawns (usually it's nearby), and how to safely navigate the map.

Help me understand the meta
Round start is basically a real estate scramble for map control, RAAS isn't really random, there is a website squadlanes.com that will tell you the probable objective spots...... apparently everyone thinks it's better and more realistic for armies to make up key objectives on the fly and for people to rely on 3rd party information sources to play optimally (side rant).

Is Squad Lanes cheating?
squadlanes.com. Its a website that shows you the possible points on the map. and as you see which points on the map come up in game, you can put those into the website to narrow down where the next points go.

Is RAAS truly random?
OWI really ought to make them easier to differentiate because the only real way to tell is with experience, using a website like SquadLanes or by looking at layer sheets like this one which is outdated but the most recent one no longer makes the destinction
