SQL Reserved Words – The Empirical List
My pet silliness in sql from a couple years ago: https://github.com/chunky/sqlraytracer
You remind me I need to finish my hunt the wumpus implementation. (sqlite has an easy way to get user input, mid query...)

Every time I see a discussion about raytracing, I feel compelled to link to my own, unreasonably silly, implementation: https://github.com/chunky/sqlraytracer

Writing a Raytracer — which book?
I implemented my raytracer by working through "Raytracing in One Weekend" and I would *highly* recommend it.

Ray Tracing for the TI-84 CE
This is awesome. A bit of self-promotion: I, too, wrote a deliberately obtuse raytracer: https://github.com/chunky/sqlraytracer

Question: What is the performance of a Postgres recursive query with a large depth on millions of rows? Should I use a graph database instead?
The only thing that's awkward about postgres is that it is documented as fully materialising a recursive CTE before handing you any rows. If you have some truly offensively large graph traversal [output, not input], it can take a while to create the temp table. My sql raytracer can take minutes per image because of the gargantuan temp storage thing.

Is it worth writing a software raytracer before going into hardware accelerated RTX?
[1] I used SQL: https://github.com/chunky/sqlraytracer [note that dielectrics still aren't working, don't judge me for bugs, yet!]

Linux distro downloads MySQL database password with curl to “fix” security bug
or, alternatively, always treat your database roles as though they can be directly manipulated by the end user, and you'll eliminate an entire class of injection vulnerabilities.
my favorite example of this is SchemaVerse, a game fully implemented in pgsql.

Yeah, he's pretty unstoppable lately but there have been a couple new players starting to improve a lot too.
I'll happily share his secret too. He recognized that it's not about any single metric, it's all about optimizing for the trophies https://github.com/Abstrct/Schemaverse/tree/master/trophies
