Show HN: SpaceBadgers – Free and Libre SVG Badges
Greetings, Hacker News community!
I am thrilled to present SpaceBadgers, a new free and open-source SVG badge generator I've been working on. It's located at badgers.space.
SpaceBadgers is born out of the desire to offer more flexibility and customization for project badges, often used in open-source projects.
It's fully open source, provided under the permissive MIT license, and will always be provided for free. The core badge worker is written in Rust, and so is the library behind it, which you can also find on crates.io under the name spacebadgers.
I am excited to receive your feedback and suggestions. Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments. Contributions are also welcomed and appreciated. You can find the source code here: https://github.com/splittydev/spacebadgers.

Badges - TL;DR for your repository's README
Shields is probably the most widely used badge generation service. Another is Badgen. Shields has a larger variety with support for a wider variety of services, etc, but Badgen has a good variety as well, along with a few that Shields doesn't yet have. Most of these are dynamic badges, updating relevant information as things change (e.g., with new release version, build status, coverage percentage, etc). And both support both dynamic and static custom badges.
What are some alternatives?
upload-rust-binary-action - GitHub Action for building and uploading Rust binary to GitHub Releases.
all-shields-cli - 🦌 Tool to help automate your badges from dotfiles for your markdown.
svgbobrus - Convert your ascii diagram scribbles into happy little SVG

shields - Concise, consistent, and legible badges in SVG and raster format
Chips-n-Salsa - A Java library of Customizable, Hybridizable, Iterative, Parallel, Stochastic, and Self-Adaptive Local Search Algorithms
