What are you rewriting in rust?
I wrote a more human readable alternative to netstat and ss for socket monitoring called "somo", GitHub link, Crates link. It also allows to scan for malicious remote IPs using the AbuseIPDB API.

https://github.com/theopfr/somo Hey there, I wanted to share my first Rust project (I was told it is fitting for this sub). Its simply a connection/socket monitoring tool similar to netstat and ss. It aims to display the information in a prettier and easier manner using a table. You can also provide an API key for AbuseIPDB.com and check if any your connections are malicious. I mainly build it for learning Rust but if there is any interest in this project I might continue it. Thanks! I hope this kind of self-promotion ist allowed here :)

Movary has added support for Emby webhooks
Like the name Movary hopefully implies, the focus was on tracking movies from the start, the plan is to make Movary the best movie tracking solution, there are other FOSS alternatives for tracking multiple media types (e.g. bonukai/MediaTracker)

Is there an app to get notified when an episode or movie gets released?
It's pretty basic but I use MediaTracker for things I don't want/need to download.

As for a way to keep track of your media, give Media Tracker a try. I've been using it myself as a self hosted alternative to Trakt as well as to keep track of books and audiobooks. It also works with games, although I don't use them.

What's a software you searched to selfhost but is still missing to you ?
There is https://github.com/bonukai/MediaTracker and I would be happy enough with its UI despite its flaws, but it's near abandoned and doesn't offer csv import/export functionality.
