How to Capture Bash History?
If you're looking for a command auditing solution, it looks like some people have rigged up /etc/profile to send every command to syslog directly, some people use software like snoopy, etc. - those are all bypassable by a user, though. Using the kernel's audit functionality to snoop execve (setup auditd, set up rules like "auditctl -a exit,always -S execve") has plenty of downsides, but would be a real auditing solution.

Have a look at auditd: it can log system calls like execve. Or snoopy. Or use the answers from here.

Setting asciiquarium as the lockscreen on multiple monitors
I'm looking to have asciiquarium running on all my monitors when I lock the screen (preferably spanning the monitors, not multiple instances). I've managed to do this with i3lock-color having a transparent background and the following script found here:

How to configure i3lock-color?
You mean i3lock-color? Until now, I didn't know it had blurring. For me, the regular i3lock has always been sufficient. However, the option you say does seem to be pretty well established.

Lock screen woes
i3lock-color (which betterlockscreen uses) has recenlty received changes to some options (see here), the betterlockscreen-git package already has a fix so you can use that
