Big Sur patcher compatibility
Go HERE download the patcher and follow the instructions to the letter. Be aware that you have to be on Catalina to use it.

Does iOS 15 Reminders and Notes work on macOS Catalina?
Maybe it’s worth backup your iMac and check Big Sur patcher, I ran into same problem with reminders, then I installed Big Sur on my 2012 MBP, I didn’t notice any slowdown compared with Catalina and I got remainders working again.
