What are the advantages of zk-SNARKs over DAG?
However, nodes also need to store some meta data like a list of all accounts corresponding to their balances, and some other blockchain stats. But no heavy (as in data size) blocks or transactions have to be stored! The big thing is that everyone can run their own node, even in a browser or on your phone (mina-rs). That means everyone can run their own node and directly access the network while still maintaining 100% node security.

mina-rs is an implementation of Mina in Rust, developed by ChainSafe. It is developed not only with mobile environments in mind, but WASM too, which suggests we’ll be able to embed a full node directly in the browser.
