Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Supabase auth vs next auth
Next Auth can use a relational db as backend to store user and session info. Supabase provider is just that, not using supabase auth. I haven't tried supabase auth since I wanted more control and ability to switch vendors easily. But I used db backed next auth with supabase and prisma and it went rather smoothly. The code is here if you like to check.
