If work that should be done is lightweight, tokio tasks or futures can be used. 2. if tasks are heavy and long running, there are some libraries that can execute tasks in threads - https://github.com/rust-threadpool/rust-threadpool , https://github.com/crossbeam-rs/crossbeam
