for Ryzen cpus there's ryzen_smu which appears to be able to do this. not sure about Intel.

Can someone please tell me what is wrong here when installing ryzen smu?
Attempting to install Ryzen smu on fedora and I am using the "Stand-alone" installation as I understand that fedora/debian/arch are different.

Only out-of-tree modules being run are drivers for rtw8852be wireless card and ryzen_smu. The retbleed flag is not set and I'm running ext4, not f2fs.

For AMD, if you have query access to the SMU coprocessor, you could use corefreq and ryzen_smu; they're for sensor readouts, and they do slightly different things. (And Zentimings and HWiNFO for windows.)

is there any overcocking tools for linux?
CPU/RAM overclocking is best done via the firmware, so at worst you're missing out on sensors and other readouts. That said, if you have a ryzen, there are a number of tools available.

How to install WiFi drivers for NixOs?
I found this GitHub link that contains instructions on how to compile the driver for most distributions. However, they require usage of make install so I don't think that would work on NixOs.

The Perfect Laptop
I have the older version with the 6900HS but it’s more or less the same. I’ve run pop_os as well as fedora on it. Everything works great but you’ll have to compile the wifi driver https://github.com/lwfinger/rtw89.

Realtek drivers are such a PITA. Check out this guys Github: Link he has instructions on how to get the most common realtek chipsets working. Please note, kernel updates will break the drivers for all realtek workarounds and you will have to redo this after each update.

preinstalled wi-fi driver is unstable and i can't seem to install different wi-fi driver. any help? am still new to linux.
