ruqqus VS tildes

I just checked and Ruqqus is licensed under LGPL, the way I understand it is you can use LGPL software as-is alongisde other software without open sourcing the other software, however if you make changes to the LGPL software then you need to open source those changes... Scored might very well be a modified version of the Ruqqus codebase, which in that case means it's violating the LGPL license.

The website claims to be open source, because it has to be as it’s using Ruqqus’ source code. However they try to hide all references to this and even fail to stay under the source code’s LGPL 2.1 license which states the source code must remain open.

i don't need censorship because i know that my beliefs are correct. the reason bigots get deplatformed is because there is simply no good reason to have them around. they poison any community they infiltrate. even ruqqus a reddit alternative advertised as censorship-free realized that there is no good to platforming bigots even if you call yourself a free speech platform.

Honestly nothing has the amount or diversity of content you find here. https://ruqqus.com had potential I thought but it seems to be dead

Just to chip in here; I'm the lead of /r/TheMotte, a debate and discussion subreddit aimed at allowing almost any position to be argued as long as it's done with civility and kindness. (A work in progress, of course :) ) We've been talking about escaping also, and we've actually started work on a Tildes fork that we can host on our own (https://github.com/themotte/tildes, you are welcome to fork or join development.)
