Building an app around a LLM, Rails + Python or just Python?
If you can just interact with OpenAI api directly without langchain then that eliminates need for python. Here’s a gem for interacting with the OpenAI api : https://github.com/alexrudall/ruby-openai

Looking for self-hosted tools with OpenAI API support
I've been playing with ruby-openai, a Ruby gem (ie, library) that interfaces with the OpenAI API. I'm building myself a small movie-recommendation tool, just a personal need, as well as to teach myself how this stuff works. It's unlikely I'll ever build it into a proper app, as I'm okay with interacting in the shell and with text files, versus a web-based thing. But if there's interest, I'll push my tool up to Github.

- Any way to extract the content of an email?
- I should have called this something piffy like MailGPT. Anyway, multiple accounts work across providers and it’s awesome!
- I recreated the Twitter video of ChatGPT summarizing your Gmail and reading it with ElevenLabs after a few weeks worth of coding through ChatGPT.

I’m recreating the Email Summary video I saw on Twitter, and while my OpenAI script is about done, my voice needs a bit more work
I've been working on recreating Justin Alvey's Twitter video where he has his emails summarized and read back to them. My in-progress code can be found here and was entirely coded with sessions of ChatGPT. I'm not qualified to troubleshoot issues, so be brave if you try to use it. This voice was really funny though and I thought the combination of my work and the video would be interesting here.
