rpisurv VS TwisterOS-Updater

You are essentially trying to make a DVR out of your Raspberry Pi. A quick Google reveals a few open source options on Github such as https://github.com/EbenKouao/SmartCCTV-Camera or https://github.com/SvenVD/rpisurv

https://github.com/SvenVD/rpisurv - RPISurv comes to mind, might work for you depending on how stream is accessed.

Before the viewport, I was using a RPi4 with displaycameras. However due to the lack of updates, I moved to RPisurv (https://github.com/SvenVD/rpisurv).

Looking for something similar to Rpisurv https://github.com/SvenVD/rpisurv that can run on a regular piece of hardware with a standard Linux bistro (Fedora - or other if required).

Right now I'm using Blue Iris for my NVR which can take camera feeds and produce a single feed that cycles through the camera feeds, it works great. For a feed viewer I'm using a raspberry pi 3B with the 7" touchscreen and using rpisurv to display the feed that BI produces. Rpisurv works pretty well but it'll randomly lose its connection and I have to restart the service in order to get it working again. It's not that big of a deal but it's kind of a pain. I was wondering if anyone was aware of an alternative program or perhaps a more specialized device I could use for displaying video feeds?

Yeah you can pull a cycling video feed from Blue Iris to display on something like a raspberry pi. I use rpisurv but annoyingly it won't work on debian 11 because its version of VLC no longer included some feature that rpisurv needs (or thinks it needs I'm not sure).

I run rpisurv off of a raspberry pi and it's been stable for months now.

I'm looking for a solution to stream a display via RTSP or HTTP(S).I need to visualize a pic of an SPS on a camera screen (RPISURV)

Take a look at https://twisteros.com i think it would be ideal for this. it comes preloaded with a bunch of emulators that a bootable from the desktop.

You can use twister OS. Modded version of raspberry OS with retro pie as a app. https://twisteros.com/

https://twisteros.com/ has a Netflix app and runs on RPi.

Btw, I know that Xubuntu doesn't look great and I kinda hate it, but this week Ifound out a very easy way to change it.
