It's supposed to be cross platform standalone rofi-pass for my Windows. On Linux I use the original one and it's great

tessen v1.2.1 released: autotype and copy password store data on Wayland, like rofi-pass
4 projects | reddit.com/r/swaywm | 14 Nov 2021
I made this post a few weeks ago about tessen's initial release. Since then, I've added a few features that might've prevented rofi-pass users from switching to Wayland based compositors (I was one of them).
Best FOSS Password managers ?

on my laptop I use: https://github.com/carnager/rofi-pass and https://github.com/qutebrowser/qutebrowser/blob/master/misc/userscripts/qute-pass for qutebrowser integration7 projects | reddit.com/r/archlinux | 29 Oct 2021

tessen: autotype and copy password-store data on Wayland, like rofi-pass

I've made a script called tessen which is, more or less, a replacement of rofi-pass but for Wayland. It can use bemenu or the wayland fork of rofi. It relies on wtype for autotyping instead of using ydotool because ydotool needs a daemon running with root privileges.

rofi-pass is also very nice you already use rofi
Which self hosted password manager?
6 projects | reddit.com/r/selfhosted | 16 Mar 2021
Easy to sync because it's a git repo, supports every type of MFA / key under the sun (well, everything that GPG does, because it's basically a frontend for GPG). Easy to programmatically search / create scripts for (I use rofi-pass). Easy to install on a vps and access from anywhere. Most importantly, does one thing and does it well, Unix philosophy.

Moving to an all-FOSS workflow

Yup. It's been awhile since I looked into it, but if I recall correctly there are a couple options. One is provided by Bitwarden themselves (since Bitwarden is open source), and the other is Vaultwarden. Most people seemed to recommend Vaultwarden because they made some nice improvements. And if you look up more information and find people talking about Bitwarden_RS, that's the same as VaultWarden (they changed the name to avoid confusion and trademark issues).

KeePass is the free, open source, light-weight and easy-to-use password manager
12 projects | news.ycombinator.com | 6 Sep 2022
I use Bitwarden. I don't trust that service with my data. I host an instance of the community-developed backend: https://github.com/dani-garcia/vaultwarden on my own server so that I don't need to, and use the FOSS clients to access it.
I feel more comfortable with that than syncing a KeePass file over dropbox or google drive, mostly because I got myself into a nasty situation that way with a corrupted KeePass database a while back.
Bitwarden Raises $100M
19 projects | news.ycombinator.com | 6 Sep 2022
>How much time do we have left before Bitwarden gradually becomes as bad as LastPass? 2-3 years? I’m not passing any judgement on this raise, entrepreneur do what they gotta do.
Bitwarden though actually has an API, and in turn interesting community implementation potential such as the Rust-based Vaultwarden . While I agree seeing them get a huge round does raise some concern in terms of the revenue generation pressure (1Password sticks in my mind as a worse example though with their switch to forced subs-only, no local/non-1P vaults, abandonment of native apps etc), to me the real sign would be if they broke self-hosting. But even so, of course with self-hosting one could simply stop there. Doesn't feel like quite the same situation as 1P or LastPass where one was really in a fully vs partially proprietary system.
I'd be OK with paying for updates to quality clients though so long as it was a regular payment system (not paying means staying on that version vs having it stop working).

I think you don't need anything else by the README of vaultwarden. https://github.com/dani-garcia/vaultwarden
It has worked for me great without any issues for over a year now.
What are some alternatives?
Bitwarden - The core infrastructure backend (API, database, Docker, etc).
Nginx Proxy Manager - Docker container for managing Nginx proxy hosts with a simple, powerful interface
keepassxc - KeePassXC is a cross-platform community-driven port of the Windows application “Keepass Password Safe”.
authelia - The Single Sign-On Multi-Factor portal for web apps
Passbolt - Passbolt CE Backend, a JSON API written with Cakephp
sso-wall-of-shame - A list of vendors that treat single sign-on as a luxury feature, not a core security requirement.
Nextcloud - ☁️ Nextcloud server, a safe home for all your data
web - The website vault (vault.bitwarden.com).
totp-generator - Generates TOTP tokens in the browser
bitwarden_rs - Unofficial Bitwarden compatible server written in Rust, formerly known as bitwarden_rs [Moved to: https://github.com/dani-garcia/vaultwarden]
yt-dlp - A youtube-dl fork with additional features and fixes
pass-import - A pass extension for importing data from most of the existing password manager.
