Social Login in Rails with Rodauth
It depends on what you mean by OAuth 2.0. If you want your app to be an OAuth 2.0 provider, then you'd use rodauth-oauth. If you want to enable your users to login through external apps that implement the OAuth 2.0 protocol, then OmniAuth is what you'd use. Not all external apps implement login via the OAuth 2.0 protocol, those that do will have their OmniAuth strategies inherit from omniauth-oauth2.

What It Took to Build a Rails Integration for Rodauth
I want to make it easier for 3rd-party Rodauth extensions to provide migrations/views for Rails generators. The rodauth-oauth gem currently provides its own generators (rodauth:oauth:install and rodauth:oauth:views), but it would be nice if they didn't have to be duplicated.

GOOGLE OMNIAUTH IN A RAILS APP
You can read more about the auth hash at https://github.com/zquestz/omniauth-google-oauth2. We can access the information by using the hash syntax. For example, if we want to get the user's email address we can use request.env['omniauth.auth']['info']['email']. In the omniauth action in the sessions controller we are using the find_or_create_by method to find the user by their uid and provider or create a new user if they don't exist. We are also using the SecureRandom.hex(10) to set the password.This sets the password to a random string of 10 characters.
