An open letter in support of Richard M. Stallman
I'm reposting from /r/freesoftware. As I type, both petitions have about 2.5k signatures. Somebody has started some analysis comparing the signatories of the letters here: https://github.com/altsalt/rms-letter-comparison/blob/main/rms-letter-comparison.pdf

Ontario February 19 update: 1150 New Cases, 1255 Recoveries, 47 Deaths, 65,372 tests (1.76% positive), Current ICUs: 269 (-8 vs. yesterday) (-26 vs. last week)
It's just that the official numbers are only updated once a week, and the open data tends to reflect the official numbers.

Pfizer plans to deliver 200 million doses of Covid vaccine to U.S. by May, sooner than expected
I mean, if there were no restrictions, Pfizer would be fulfilling their vaccine orders in Canada. Those are doses distributed to Canada, not administered. almost nothing for over a week. All of our supply is coming from Europe because all the Pfizer Michigan supply is staying in the US. https://github.com/ccodwg/Covid19Canada/blob/master/timeseries_canada/vaccine_distribution_timeseries_canada.csv

U.S. Daily Covid Vaccinations Rise by Record 1.25 Million
the info I got (https://github.com/ccodwg/Covid19Canada/blob/master/vaccine_distribution_cumulative.csv), which is compiled from official sources, says that Quebec got a big 50k dose dump on december 28 and it's basicallly been trickling in since at 30k/week. If we want to get to a similar vaccination rate per day per capita as the 1.25Million mentionned here, we'd need over 150k doses per week...
