How to make my pinkie and vanilla keybindings get along?
Speaking of repeating commands, here's a little package I wrote to make that easier. It's a sort of "semi-modal" form of editing. Whenever a repeatable key/command is used, it activates a "repeat-map", which stays active until you use any key that's not in the repeat-map. The feature for this is built-in to Emacs since version 28. The package just makes it easier to use.

Repeaters.el: Easily define groups of repeat-maps, and associate them with commands.
I naturally contrast it with defrepeater.el (of which I am the maintainer, but I did not discover the mechanism it uses, I just packaged it). Of course, they don't do exactly the same thing. But when used with bindings in the style of a prefix key followed by single-letter bindings, it makes for convenient, easy-to-understand definitions and bindings, IMO.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing repeaters and defrepeater.el you can also consider the following projects:
xcape - Linux utility to configure modifier keys to act as other keys when pressed and released on their own.
evil-collection - A set of keybindings for evil-mode
dual-key-remap - Remap any key to any other two keys on Windows 🔥. Remap CapsLock to both Ctrl and Escape! (It's like xcape for windows!)
