recursive VS roboto-flex

Recently I discovered Recursive font (https://github.com/arrowtype/recursive), I like the work behind this. I have been using this, and finally see it as my final settlement. You can even customize the font to your needs: https://github.com/arrowtype/recursive-code-config

- I have one OFL font with a few variable axes, Recursive, made for Google Fonts – but it isn’t really a neo-grotesque like you are seeking (but still can be fun for web design and dev!)

I decided to use the Recursive font on my site once again and when it went live, they kept popping in between subsequent reloads. Looking into it, it turns out that this was due to how Netlify caches things.

Recursive Mono

- Roboto Flex seems to fit the bill here, and it’s OFL licensed, meaning you can do almost anything you want with it, for free, other than redistributing it under a different license (e.g. renaming it and selling it as a proprietary font)

I always find it interesting to track the updates for google fonts on their repos (when possible), since you can see fixed bugs and also sometimes find people who've forked it to add features.
