error patch no exist how to resolve
read_excel() can't handle URLs, there's been an open issue about this since 2017. You'll either have to download the file using a browser and then point read_excel() at the file path, or use something like curl and a temp file.

Not to add more confusion but to promote a cool project, there is wasmr which allows to run WebAssembly inside R, just like Wasmer Python embedding allows to run WebAssembly inside Python. Just wanted to mention this project because we are talking about R :-).
