react-native-app-auth VS android-emulator-m1-preview

You can have a look at https://github.com/FormidableLabs/react-native-app-auth . This comes recommended by the folks at Facebook .I’d suggest connecting it to Redux to be able to monitor auth status across your app.

We are using react-native-app-auth to implement our SSO flow, but the library is crashing the app on the Android production build after redirecting to the app from the custom tab.

So far, I have looked into this github repository for login and this for the backend. I don't completely understand how either of these work (I don't have much experience with React Native and Js).

We are currently using the react-native-app-auth library to log in users with an internal IdP (Identity Provider). While authentication is not really an issue, logout is. Ultimately it's a bug others have encountered due to a library that library uses.

My app relies on OAuth for authentication and requires Chrome to allow the user to authenticate. (I'm using react-native-app-auth.) I basically can't use the app without logging in first. The Chrome issue is which is why i can't use the emulator :(

Have a look at https://github.com/FormidableLabs/react-native-app-auth. We use it with Laravel Passport (which is built on https://github.com/thephpleague/oauth2-server).

https://github.com/google/android-emulator-m1-preview According to this, M1 support is available.

Android Studio added support back in March with the initial standalone emulator still up on github.

With regards to android emulation, looks like there was a beta M1 emulator, but its no longer required as its now integrated? I had not head that about android emulation though, but it makes sense. Saving for an M1 device myself at the moment so will dig into it more! ty

There is a Android emulator preview available, I am using that, and for basic testing it works fine. There are some known issues (listed in GitHub), and maybe some unknown ones. You will have to download the dmg file from GitHub release section. https://github.com/google/android-emulator-m1-preview

As I know, there actually is an Android Studio version for M1 MacBook, and even an android emulator, though it has some limitations

According to the github page of the Android Emulator M1 Preview: Support for downloading the M1-based emulator was added to SDK Manager, so it's not necessary to go to the Github releases page to download a standalone .app anymore. In AVD Manager go to the Other Images tab as by default it doesn't show the ARM64 images.
