I hope someday we will see this level of development in the Chia community
dkackman made an alternate fully remote rpc cli for chia. (https://github.com/dkackman/rchia) so we start to see independent implementations. The same went for MadMax and BladeBit, now part of the official GUI Chia release. Light Wallet is here too. So things are indeed moving forward not only thanks to the constant work of ChiaInc but also thanks to the community.

We upgraded 1.2.10 to have some great improvements
We launched our migration of keys to a common encrypted keyring.yaml file, and we secure this with an optional passphrase in both GUI and CLI. We've added a passphrase hint in case you forget your passphrase.
